Nepal is known to the world as 'the land of the Himalayas'. The elevation of the country ranges from 60 meters above sea level to the highest point on earth, Mt Everest at 8848 meters. This vast geographical range results in the landscape and climate being one of extremes - from subtropical conditions through to Arctic. For this reason Nepal is an explorer's paradise. There are some 1300 peaks above 6000 meters of which 238 are open for climbing. The mountains, rivers and jungles of Nepal are home to an equally vivid family of wildlife. Chitwan National Park protects elephants, bears, monkeys, bears, rhinocerous and a massive array of native flora and fauna. If you are especially lucky you may even see a tiger on your safari.
There are many places to simply relax in this country. Dhulikhel is renowned for it's peaceful and scenic surroundings, as is Pokhara. You will also have time to soak up the region's culture and experience some of the world's most beautiful and peaceful monasteries or enjoy your tour around the city of Kathmandu, shopping, eating and sightseeing in the city of myth, peace and love.
